Use case crossing manufacturing, building and rescue are identified for deep analysis: Manufacturing use case for energy efficient operation: Use Case will grant integration and interoperability between several types of edge/cloud systems. To improve the solution’s scalability and manage energy consumption, edge computing will be implemented. This paradigm reduces the network load, optimising energy used for computing and storage, as well as enabling solutions that would help factories better monitor and manage their energy consumption. Building use case for decarbonisation and circularity: As the sector responsible to 40% GHGs and 35% solid waste, current EU building stock is the key sector for carbon neutral society and circular economy development. Building information modelling for existing building stock will create qualitative and quantitative understanding. This will boost the renovation for Zero energy building and upcycling the building material. However, current practice through single device are time consuming with low accuracy. The SIS will built the swarm intelligence though Drone-drone, robot-robot, drone-robot smart, dynamic and agile solutions to have quick and high quality modelling of existing buildings. Search and Rescue use case for well being: Search and rescue (SAR) is the search for and provision of aid to people who are in distress or imminent danger as well as reconnaissance and damage assessment in different types of terrain. An interdisciplinary vibrant consortium, with recognized expertise, experience, skills, resources, infrastructure and position in the relevant fields is prepared to achieve these goals. Specifically, SIS will develop and aims to have immediate impact in use cases, and significantly expand outreach to many others in year 4.
