The project applying for the EIC phase 2 is well defined. Here is the summary from the phase 1 application. WATBOTS introduces a completely new, unprecedented double-sided robot based on artificial intelligence (AI), created for continuous cleaning (grooming) and monitoring of fish farming pen nets in a fully autonomous and unattended way. Our disruptive and patented(NO345993B1) technology offers the first solution for 24/7 highly effective net cleaning, performed simultaneously on both sides of the net. WATBOTS avoids the need for net coating with unsustainable antifouling materials like copper or for human-operated, polluting machinery. WATBOTS also monitors net status, detecting critical spots and preventing any harmful biological development and unwanted net problems that would lead to large fish escape. Aiming at being an industrial and technological revolution, WATBOTS introduces Industry 4.0 in the conservative aquaculture industry and enables increased efficiency, sustainability and detailed predictive maintenance.
