The project partners will be The Interventional Centre at Rikshospitalet University Hospital, Norwegian University of Science and Technolgy (NTNU), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven- Department of Biomechanical Engineering, University California San Francisco (UCSF) and CompuTouch AS. Project Manager is Professor Olav Egeland, who is professor in robotics at the Department of Engi neering Cybernetics at NTNU. The coursework and the initial theoretical studies will be done at NTNU, while the two last years with experimental research work will be performed at the Intervention Center of Rikshospitalet. The project will benefit from ve ry advanced and highly available laboratory resources at Rikshospitalet, and from close cooperation with specialists on minimally invasive surgery.
